Association Health Plans for the Self Employed are a great concept.

Unfortunately, that concept is not often the reality. Several Association Health Plans have come under fire recently, most notably the National Association for the Self Employed. The root of the problem seems to be misrepresentation of coverage. In the case of NASE, their plan is an indemnity plan which is a far cry from a major medical plan.
